Day 2 - ISTANBUL JEWELS TOUR

Departure to the Bosphorus Strait, for the Bosphorus Cruise. We spend an hour between Europe and Asia on the Bosphorus and continue our tour with the Egyptian Bazaar (spice market). We have free time to shop without any commitment. Lunch in a local and tasty restaurant. In the afternoon we visit the Beylerbeyi Palace which was designed as a summer residence for the Ottoman sultans and a state guest house to accommodate foreign presidents or rulers. After the tour return to the hotel

We start with the Blue Mosque to admire its six minarets and the thousands of Iznik tiles inside the building, then we visit the splendid 6th century Hagia Sophia, it was the largest church of the Byzantine era. Lunch at a local restaurant and tasty. Continuation Topkapi Palace the official residence and administrative center of the sultans of the Ottoman Empire for more than 400 years.In the afternoon we visit the Hippodrome square where we have the Egyptian obelisk, the German fountain, the Constantine column and the Serpentine column. At the end of the day free time in the Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays, religious holidays and October 29). After the tour return to the hotel

In the afternoon, at the indicated time, we will pick you up at your accommodation in Istanbul to transfer you to the airport and thus begin your trip to the magical and surprising region of Cappadocia; which with its characteristic layers of volcanic lava give shape to an incredible and unique landscape and history. Hotel moving and lodging.

Optionally, you can take a balloon ride in the early morning.  

We start the day with the Derbent valley (valley of the imagination) with its curious natural rock formations and fairy chimneys of different shapes, such as a camel, a hat, etc. Then we visit the Göreme open-air museum, which preserves churches, chapels and monasteries carved out of the rock with frescoes from the 11th century. Lunch at a local and tasty restaurant and we drive to visit Avanos which is the center of ceramic art in Turkey. We enjoy the ceramic demonstration in Avanos and continue with Pasabag Valley (Valley of the Monks) where we will see the fairy chimneys carved as churches.We will continue towards the panorama of Göreme, where we have a spectacular landscape of the Fairy Chimneys and all of the valley of Göreme. Then we will make a stop at a carpet and kilim workshop to learn the local crafts and return to the hotel.

Departure towards the most popular valley in the region called the Valley of Love which offers a beautiful view with its graceful shaped chimneys. Then we visit the underground city of Ozkonak or another similar, built by Christian communities to protect themselves from Arab attacks. Lunch in a local and tasty restaurant and we will continue to the spectacular volcanic sites of Güvercinlik (Palomas Valley) and admire a wonderful panoramic view from the castle of Uçhisar where a natural stone castle offers a great photograph from all its angles, one of the landmarks of the region that offers a great photograph from all its angles. We will stop at an artisan decoration and jewelry workshop and end the tour with an ancient Christian village of Cavusin that offers spectacular views.

At night you can optionally attend a Turkish folk dance show.

In the morning, transfer to the airport and thus begin your journey to the Aegean coast. We flew to Izmir, which is the third largest city in Turkey. Then we have transfer for an hour to Kusadasi. Kusadasi is a beautiful coastal city located on the Aegean coast. Transfer to the hotel and enjoy the beautiful view of the Aegean Sea in the afternoon. Night in Kusadasi. (Some days the flights are direct and other days they are with a stopover in Istanbul).

Departure to the famous ancient city of Ephesus.During the tour, we will visit the Odeon, the Great Theater, where Saint Paul preached that once had capacity for 25,000 spectators, the Curetes street, the Temple of Hadrian and the impressive Library of Celsus, old public baths, remains of fountains and various temples. Lunch in a local and tasty restaurant and we will continue to the great Temple of Artemis, which was an old pilgrimage center, one of the seven ancient wonders. Then we visit the House of the Virgin Mary, it has been accepted by the Vatican as a pilgrimage destination and visited by Pope Paul VI, - John Paul II and Benedict XVI. At the end we will make a stop at a craft leather shop and return to the hotel.

Departure for Pamukkale, also known as "Cotton Castle" Pamukkale is a marvel with its view. Combined with the Pamukkale site is Hierapolis, an ancient Roman and Byzantine spa town and used by the Romans as a healing center due to its proximity to hot springs. During the tour you will have free time to swim in the old pools. After the tour, private transfer to Marmaris. Free night in Marmaris
